When we arrived we wanted to stay longer!! We were very pleasantly welcomed by Sonja who, when she brought some fresh milk to our room, noticed the window had some(very little) bird poop on it. She immediately returned with a cloth to wipe the window, and Bernie also arrived with an additional (third) chair for the patio area – which we then proceeded to use, as it was very pleasant sitting outside for an hour or so. This was our introduction to the motel – and we were very impressed. As is stated elsewhere the rooms are immaculate, very clean, very modern and definitely not looking four years old – everything looked and worked as new. We were given recommendations for dinner – which were spot on. Breakfast was a feast, plenty of choice and plenty of food – very good value – much better than going out. We cannot recommend the motel more highly than by saying it is the best we have stayed in in Australia over the past ten years, and we now have a reason to return to Bairnsdale. Everyday we meet wonderful people and check them into their rooms and confirm all is well and as they would expect.
